Additional Activities
We will have the following additional activities planned during the retreat:
-
Jewelry Swap: Students and instructors are welcome to bring a piece of handmade jewelry, valued at a minimum of $40, to participate in our jewelry swap with fellow attendees and instructors. Bring your piece unwrapped with your name. We will place each piece in a plain brown bag for the swap.
-
Design Challenge: The theme of the 2026 jewelry design contest is under discussion and additional information will be provided soon. See below entries from last year.
-
Art Project: We may have a game or project for you on Wednesday evening. Stay tuned for more info!
-
Raffle: All instructors bring, and students are welcome to bring, a handmade item, valued at a minimum of $75, to be included in our fundraiser for K-9 for Warriors. Every dollar donated, through the purchase of raffle tickets, is given directly to this worthy charity. Please go to their website, https://www.k9sforwarriors.org., to see how your dollars benefit a veteran suffering from PTSD by pairing them with service dog that has been rescued and trained. Last year we had 30 items in the Raffle and raised $3,484.00!! See below for a sample of last year's raffle items.
-
Shopping: Our talented instructors will set up tables and offer for sale various tools, supplies, kits and stunning finished pieces.
-
Show N Tell: Students are encouraged to bring their projects, finished or not! and set them out on tables to display for all to see the amazing things we have been making. See below for a sample of last year's Show N Tell.
-
Evening Classroom Time: Students will have the chance to meet with instructors and ask additional questions or finish up some work on a class piece.
-
Chair/Table Massages: Students can sign up for a 15-minute massage, offered by Vital Massage and Body Work, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Each 15-minute session is $20. You can sign up for your session when you check in or whenever we are doing group activities.
